The Writing Centre
Welcome to WCOnline, where you can schedule appointments with tutors at both our Nanaimo and Cowichan campuses. For info about how to access services at tiwšɛmawtxʷ, please visit the tiwšɛmawtxʷ Writing Centre webpage.
Locations
Our Nanaimo Writing Centre is located on the 4th floor of the library in building 305. At Cowichan campus, it is located in the Learning Centre, room 120. The tiwšɛmawtxʷ Writing Centre is in room 153. We also offer online appointments.
International Academic Support
At Nanaimo campus, the Writing Centre is also home to International Academic Support (IAS) which specializes in tutoring for English Language Learning (ELL) students. Watch our video about ELL tutoring to learn more about how IAS can support you.
Things to note
- If attaching your document to a booking, please upload Microsoft Word files rather than PDFs to allow tutors to provide feedback within the document.
- Our services are in high demand. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do as early as possible so another student can use the spot.
- Text appointment reminders can be set under Profile and Communication Options in the menu on the left side.
- Our eTutoring service, which allow you to submit your essay online for personalized feedback from a tutor, is recommended for students in their third year of study and above. It does not involve a face-to-face appointment.
